Since July 2015, Jeremy Bilbrey has worked as House Supervisor for United General Hospital located in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. He also is on the hospital’s nurse council board. To help him stay up-to-date on changes made within the industry, Jeremy Bilbrey maintains membership with the American Nurses Association (ANA).

Representing more than 3.4 million registered nurses, the ANA serves as the premier organization for the profession. It strives to advance the profession by offering high standards of practice, promoting ethical and safe work environments, and advocating on specific healthcare issues that affect nurses.

Each year the ANA hosts a conference where members convene, share ideas, network with others, and listen to keynote speakers. The 2016 event occurred on March 9th through 11th at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Attendees had an opportunity to earn continuing education credits, visit the exhibit hall, and participate in sessions that focused on nurses, hospitals, and healthcare. In addition, authors of healthcare tomes were on hand to sign copies of their books. For those who wished to improve nursing programs, they had an opportunity to talk with ANA staff during a walk-and-talk session. For additional information, attendees had access to virtual sessions via an online app before, during, and after the ANA conference.
